HENRY COUNTY, VA – A woman is dead and two men were flown to the hospital after an early Friday morning crash on Route 87 in Henry County.
Around 2:09 a.m., a 2019 Mazda was going north on Route 87, when it crossed the centerline and hit a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, which was going south, head-on, according to Virginia State Police.
The Mazda was driven by 26-year-old Keyara Seymone Hairston, of Martinsville.
State police said Hairston was not wearing her seatbelt and died at the scene.
The 20-year-old passenger was wearing his seatbelt and was injured and was airlifted to an area hospital.
The Chevrolet was driven by a 42-year-old Reidsville, North Carolina man who was wearing his seatbelt and was also flown to an area hospital.
The crash investigation is ongoing.
