Alcohol Induced Crash on Route 58



 

PATRICK COUNTY, VA


The Virginia State Police have reported that a tragic two-vehicle collision took place on May 9 on Route 58, just west of Route 653, with alcohol being cited as a contributing factor.


At approximately 10:20 p.m., a 2013 Kia Soul traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes collided head-on with a 2014 Chrysler Town & Country, as detailed by State Police officials.


The driver of the Kia, identified as 23-year-old Lindsey Faith Harris from Stuart, was fatally injured in the accident, having not been wearing her seatbelt at the time of the collision.


The driver of the Chrysler, a 32-year-old individual who also was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention, according to police reports.


Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
