A man and a woman have been arrested after robbing a woman of medication on Tuesday morning.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office responded the 5700 block of Virginia Avenue, Bassett, for the armed robbery around 8:50 a.m.
The victim told authorities she was robbed of prescription medication.
Investigators processed the scene and identified a vehicle involved.
The Martinsville Police Department found the suspect vehicle at the Valero on Brookdale Street about an hour later.
Eyann Martin, 25, was arrested without issues, and the evidence of the crime was
seized, according to authorities.
The investigation revealed that Martin and Shamica Johnson, 36, conspired to rob the victim of medication.
Martin faces charges of conspiracy to commit robbery, robbery, use of a firearm in a felony, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Johnson is charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and robbery.
Both are at the Henry County Adult Detention Center without bond.
The victim was taken by EMS to Sovah Health in Martinsville to evaluated for minor injuries.
