HENRY COUNTY – Friday, U.S. Senators Mark R. Warner and Tim Kaine announced funding from the Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration to improve infrastructure at the airport in Henry County.
“We’re pleased to announce this funding to enhance airport infrastructure,” said the Senators. “These grants will support local airports as they help Virginians travel more efficiently.”
Blue Ridge Airport will receive a grant of $7,000,000 to expand an apron.
This funding was granted through the FAA’s Airport Improvement Program, a program that provides grants for the planning and development of public-use airports that are significant to national air transportation.
