
On March 22, 2025, (BTW21) Investigators from the Henry County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at a residence in Collinsville, Virginia, as part of an ongoing investigation into the possession of child pornography.
The investigation was initiated after a cybertip was received through the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children (SOVA ICAC) Task Force.
Following a thorough investigation, 18-year-old Jabari Ross was identified as a suspect, leading to the issuance of a search warrant for his residence, located at 89 Terry Court, Apartment #3. Upon arrival, investigators made contact with Ross and conducted a search of the premises.
A forensic examination of electronic devices seized from the residence revealed multiple explicit images of prepubescent children in a sexually suggestive state.
As a result, Ross was arrested and charged with 12 counts of possession of child pornography, a felony offense in the Commonwealth of Virginia, under Section 18.2-374.1 of the Virginia Code.
The charges against Ross stem from the violation of Virginia Code Section 18.2-374.1, which prohibits the possession of obscene materials using minors.
Ross faces a total of 12 counts of this offense, each carrying significant penalties.
Additional electronic devices were seized from the residence and are currently undergoing forensic analysis.
The investigation remains ongoing, and further charges may be forthcoming pending the examination of the evidence.
The Henry County Sheriff's Office has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting children from exploitation and holding offenders accountable.
The agency continues to work closely with the SOVA ICAC Task Force and other law enforcement partners to combat crimes against children.
