MARTINSVILLE – The Community Care Collaborative will provide free health, vision and dental services in Uptown Martinsville on Saturday.

Yes, you read that right. Absolutely free.

"There are many resources in our community and we collaborate with Liberty University's medical school, Averett University's nursing school and, this year, the Virginia Dental Foundation will be a big part of this, so we're very excited," Grace Network of Martinsville-Henry County Executive Director Tracy Hinchcliff said.

The event will take place November 2 from 7 AM to 4 PM at 145 East Main Street.

"We have been able to serve those that are either underinsured or have no insurance at all. It becomes a big medical clinic and we can service anyone for free," Hinchcliff stated.

Services include medical and dental screenings, flu shots, hearing and vision tests, foot and nail care, hair cuts, medicaid sign-ups and much more.

"The goal is not only to treat anyone that's in our community that is under insured or not insured, but to get them connected to a medical home," Hinchcliff added.

If you need transportation, call 276-632-6442.
