On February 4th, 2025, at approximately 12:20 AM, the Eden Police Department responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on South Van Buren Road, just south of South Park Terrace.
According to the preliminary investigation, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle traveling south on South Van Buren Road. 0
The vehicle fled the scene, continuing south without stopping.
The injured pedestrian was quickly transported by Rockingham County EMS to Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina, for treatment of serious injuries.
Following an extensive investigation and consultation with the Rockingham County District Attorney’s Office, Detective Brock Fox obtained warrants for 32-year-old Courtney Deshae Robertson of Danville, Virginia.
Robertson faces charges of Felony Hit and Run causing Serious Injury.
On February 6th, 2025, Robertson voluntarily turned herself in to the Eden Police Department.
She was subsequently taken to the Rockingham County Magistrates Office, where she received a $10,000 secured bond.
The Eden Police Department expressed gratitude to the Danville, VA Police Department for their assistance in the case.
