
Eden, NC — March 17, 2025 (BTW21)— On Friday, March 14, 2025, Eden Police Officers conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Trax, which led to the discovery of a significant quantity of illegal drugs and a firearm.
During the investigation, authorities seized approximately 61 grams of Fentanyl, 14 grams of Cocaine, 13 grams of Marijuana, and a firearm from the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, two individuals were arrested and charged with multiple felony and misdemeanor offenses.
Wayne “Buddy” Johnson Jr., one of the occupants of the vehicle, faces the following charges:
Trafficking, Opium or Heroin (Felony)
Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver (PWIMSD) Schedule I Controlled Substance (Felony)
Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance (Felony)
Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver (PWISD) Cocaine (Felony)
Possession of Cocaine (Felony)
Maintain a Vehicle/Dwelling for Selling a Controlled Substance
Possession of Marijuana (Misdemeanor)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)
Johnson was transported to the Rockingham County Magistrates Office, where he was denied bond.
He is scheduled to appear in Wentworth District Court on March 20, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.
Dimani Paul Davis, the second occupant, faces the following charges:
Trafficking, Opium or Heroin (Felony)
Possession of a Firearm by Felon (Felony)
Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver (PWIMSD) Schedule I Controlled Substance (Felony)
Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance (Felony)
Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver (PWISD) Cocaine (Felony)
Possession of Cocaine (Felony)
Carrying a Concealed Weapon (Misdemeanor)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)
Davis was also transported to the Rockingham County Magistrates Office, where he was given a no bond status.
He, too, is scheduled to appear in Wentworth District Court on March 20, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.
