
March 17, 2025 (BTW21) Eden, N.C. – A routine traffic stop conducted by Eden Police Department officers on Friday, March 14, 2025, led to the discovery of a significant quantity of narcotics, resulting in multiple felony charges for an Eden resident.
According to authorities, patrol officers stopped a 2018 Kia Sorento as part of their routine enforcement efforts.
Upon further investigation, officers recovered approximately 30 dosage units of suspected MDMA, along with additional controlled substances.
As a result of the investigation, 42-year-old William Wayne Martin II of Eden, N.C., was taken into custody and charged with the following offenses:
Trafficking in MDMA (Felony)
Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, and Deliver Schedule I Controlled Substance (Felony)
Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance (Felony) – 2 counts
Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana (Felony)
Possession of Marijuana (Felony)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)
Following his arrest, Martin was transported to the Rockingham County Magistrate’s Office, where he was denied bond.
He is scheduled to appear in Wentworth District Court on March 20, 2025, at 9:00 AM.
