
EDEN, NC – (BTW21) On March 26, 2025, following a thorough investigation, the Eden Police Department Special Operations Division arrested Candace Michelle Hampton, 37, of 203 Short Morgan St., Eden, North Carolina. Hampton, who is also known by the alias "Cupcake," has been charged with several serious offenses, including drug and firearm-related felonies.
The charges against Hampton include:
Possession of a Firearm by a Felon (Felony)
Manufacturing, Selling, or Distributing a Controlled Substance within 1,000 Feet of a Park (Felony)
Possession of Cocaine (Felony)
Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Distribute Schedule I Controlled Substance (PWIMSD)Â (Felony)
Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance (Felony)
Maintain a Dwelling for Selling a Controlled Substance (Felony)
Possession with Intent to Sell or Distribute (PWISD) Marijuana (Felony)
Possession of Marijuana (Misdemeanor)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)
Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)
Following her arrest, Hampton was transported to the Rockingham County Magistrate's Office, where a secure bond of $500,000 was set.
She is scheduled to appear in Wentworth District Court on April 4, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.
The investigation that led to Hampton’s arrest was the result of ongoing efforts by the Eden Police Department to combat illegal drug activity and gun violence in the community.
