A Franklin County bus driver, Matthew Davis, 51, has been charged with multiple counts of sexual acts with minors, according to officials.
The charges were certified to the grand jury on Tuesday following a preliminary hearing in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
Davis was arrested on December 2 after four juveniles reported incidents of inappropriate touching by the bus driver.
The allegations include caressing their bottoms and touching their breasts, all of which occurred on the school bus in Franklin County over the past two years.
The certified charges against Davis include two counts of felony indecent act with child custodian, one felony count of aggravated sexual battery with a victim under 13 years, and one misdemeanor count of attempted sexual battery.
A judge certified these charges on Tuesday, sending Davis's case to the grand jury in Franklin County Circuit Court.
A date for the grand jury hearing has not been set yet. The case has raised concerns about student safety and the actions of those responsible for their care.
As the investigation continues, more details may emerge about the incidents and Davis's alleged misconduct.
The certification of charges marks a significant step forward in the case against Davis, who will now face a grand jury to determine whether he will stand trial for the alleged crimes.
