Holy Cow Ice Cream, a new local shop, held its soft opening on Friday, welcoming customers for a taste of the treats it has to offer, along with a sneak peek at the exciting developments happening at the 5,000-square-foot location.
Located in Beaver Creek, the ice cream shop is not just about dessert—it’s about creating a welcoming space for the community with an array of food, a family-friendly atmosphere, and even a spiritual center in the works.
The ice cream shop offers a variety of delicious items for customers to enjoy, with something for everyone. On the menu are all-beef hot dogs, pinto beans, cornbread, chips, and an assortment of beverages, including soda, coffee, and water.
For dessert lovers, the shop serves up homemade peach and apple cobbler, cookies, and walking tacos—a perfect treat to end any meal.
The soft opening was an opportunity for Irvin, the owner, to introduce the shop to the public and get accustomed to the customer flow and new systems in place.
Though it was only announced on Facebook, the opening gave people a chance to experience the new atmosphere and enjoy the welcoming environment Irvin has worked hard to create.
While the ice cream and snacks are already bringing in local customers, there’s much more to look forward to.
Irvin plans to transform part of the space into a spiritual center, to be called the Beaver Creek Spiritual Center.
The center will be non-denominational, offering a peaceful retreat for individuals to find solace, reflect, or connect with their community.
The spiritual center will be located at the back of the ice cream shop, further expanding the shop’s offerings beyond just food and treats.
“I want it to be a space that brings people together, offers comfort, and provides a place of peace,” Irvin said.
For now, Holy Cow Ice Cream is open Tuesday to Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the winter months, with extended hours of operation from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. or later in the summer, depending on demand.
With the warmer months ahead, Irvin expects to see even more foot traffic, especially as word spreads about the shop’s unique offerings and the upcoming spiritual center.
For those looking to stay updated on specials, events, or any future announcements, Irvin encourages customers to visit the shop’s Facebook page or call 276-252-9871 for more information.
Irvin’s goal for Holy Cow Ice Cream is simple: “It’s fun, it’s friendly, it’s family.” He wants the shop to be a place where people can relax, enjoy a meal, and connect with one another.
With its diverse menu, warm atmosphere, and community-focused initiatives, Holy Cow Ice Cream is quickly becoming a local favorite—and it’s just getting started.
As the seasons change and new offerings come to life, Holy Cow Ice Cream looks set to become an even bigger part of the Beaver Creek community.
Whether you're in the mood for ice cream, a savory meal, or a peaceful moment of reflection, Irvin and his team are ready to make you feel right at home.
