MARTINSVILLE, VA – Martinsville City crews will begin the installation of the new water line on Cherokee Court on Monday.
The city says the water will be off for a few hours for installation of a “tee” and new valve.
Regulations require the issue of a boil water notice, but this will be a localized notice, not city wide, according to the city.
The lines in the area will be flushed and tested for proper chlorine levels as required by Virginia Department of Health regulations, after the “tee” and valve are installed.
Signs have already been placed on the roads.
Handbills will be distributed on Thursday.
