DANVILLE, VA

Get ready for a day filled with excitement as Danville Parks and Recreation hosts its beloved Children’s Festival at the Carrington Pavilion on Saturday, June 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Best of all, admission and all activities at the festival are completely free! Be sure to bring some extra cash for tasty treats from concessionaires and vendors onsite.

This year, get ready to dive into a world of bubbles as the festival adopts a bubbly theme with an array of bubble-themed activities. But that’s not all—there's something for everyone!

From engaging activities at the Danville Parks and Recreation area to caricature sketches, yoga sessions, drop-in painting classes, a sensory tent, a toddler play zone, and even fishing fun with Backyard Bass.

Plus, don’t miss out on mesmerizing magic shows and much more!

Charlene Presley, Danville Parks and Recreation’s Division Director of Special Recreation, expresses her enthusiasm, stating, “We can’t wait for families to kick off their summer with us. This year’s lineup promises to keep kids entertained with a blend of fun and educational activities throughout the day.”

The Children’s Festival is made possible by the generous support of URW Community Federal Credit Union, Sentara Health Plans, First Piedmont, and Danville Dental Associates.
