Franklin County has appointed Karli Foster as its new Business Retention & Expansion and Workforce Manager, effective August 1, 2024.
Foster, previously an Economic Development Specialist in Roanoke County, brings extensive experience in economic development, with a focus on marketing, workforce development programs, and fostering community partnerships.
During her tenure in Roanoke County, Foster demonstrated her ability to cultivate strong relationships with local businesses and spearhead initiatives to support economic growth.
Her background includes a Master of Public Administration from James Madison University and a Bachelor of Science in Public and Urban Affairs from Virginia Tech. Foster's return to Franklin County, where she interned in 2021, is seen as a valuable addition to the county's economic development team.
