
MARTINSVILLE, VA
A shooting incident occurred late on May 17th in the parking lot of Tequila’s Sports Bar and Grill located on Spruce Street in Martinsville.
According to Martinsville Chief of Police Rob Fincher, the incident took place around 11:30 p.m.
The victim sustained a non-life-threatening leg injury and was promptly transported to the hospital for medical attention, as confirmed by Chief Fincher.
While no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting at this time, authorities did detain an individual for an unrelated matter.
However, amidst the response to the incident, a local news reporter became too close to an officer conducting the investigation.
Resulting in the officer, commanding the reporter to, "Get that camera out of here!" and then removing it from the hands of the news reporter.
