HENRY COUNTY, VA – A man was airlifted to the hospital following a motorcycle accident in Henry County on Tuesday evening.
It happened in the 100 block of Crabtree Lane in the Blackberry community of the county at around 5:30 p.m.
State police told BTW21 News on scene that a male subject was on a motorcycle coming up the road, and a dog ran under the bike, causing him to lose control.
State police could not advise the extent of his injuries.
The victim was transported by Bassett Rescue Squad to a helicopter landing zone set up at Blackberry Baptist Church.
The Patrick-Henry Volunteer Fire Department and the Henry County Department of Public Safety also responded to the crash scene.
The accident is being investigated by state police.
