MARTINSVILLE, VA – Martinsville City Public Schools celebrated its third year of accreditation throughout the month of February.
Albert Harris Elementary School, Patrick Henry Elementary School, Martinsville Middle School, and Martinsville High School, each held a ceremony during February presenting a banner stating it had achieved accreditation.
Superintendent Dr. Zeb Talley and Assistant Superintendent Angilee Downing spoke at each of the ceremonies.
“Students, parents, teachers, administrators, central office staff, and community members worked very hard to make these events happen for the City of Martinsville,” Talley said.
Martinsville City School Board members were also in attendance.
“I am very proud of our students and feel that they will make great contributions to Martinsville and to society. All of our schools strive to promote a culture of academic and social success. Our students deserve a quality education so that they can compete in a global economy,” Talley added.
