The New Dutch Inn Restaurant, a cherished dining spot in the community, has announced the closure of its dining room, citing challenges in maintaining a successful business amidst rising costs.
In a heartfelt statement shared by co-owners Josh Haley and Austin Boyd, the decision to close the dining room was described as difficult but necessary to refocus attention on their other locations and staff.
“We gave things a good effort! But the fact of the matter is it’s hard to run a successful business, especially with costs the way they are these days,” Haley wrote. “As much as we would love to continue, the best thing for us to do is spend more time at our existing locations to ensure they do not suffer.”
The owners expressed their gratitude to the community for its support and to the hotel’s owner for the opportunity to bring their vision to life.
The restaurant’s regular menu will still be available for dine-in at Rosie’s Gaming Lounge upstairs and for delivery through DoorDash and Uber Eats.
Haley and Boyd are assisting in transitioning the restaurant to new leadership to ensure a smooth handoff.
“We are very thankful for the opportunity the owner of the hotel extended us in the beginning of this project,” Haley said. “It’s been a pleasure to serve you all!”
The announcement follows a season of reflection and gratitude, as the team wished the community a happy new year and expressed appreciation for their time together.
While the dining room’s closure marks the end of one chapter, Haley and Boyd remain committed to strengthening their other ventures.
The transition period at the New Dutch Inn ensures continued service for loyal patrons while paving the way for new opportunities.
For those who have enjoyed dining at the New Dutch Inn, the owners hope their food and hospitality leave lasting memories.
