MARTINSVILLE, VA – Melissa Hankins has opened the doors of Uptown Bella's Salon in Martinsville.
She received a warm welcome Friday by the Martinsville-Henry County Chamber of Commerce, city officials, family and friends.
“We are offering hair extensions, colors, cuts and everything that you what come into a salon, basically, to get your hair done,” said owner Melissa Hankins.
Located at 38 Franklin Street, Uptown Bella's features elegant, modern decor with stylish furnishings.
“Our personalities are fabulous here,” Hankins stated. “We serve you Aveda tea when you walk in. You get the whole Aveda experience. You get hot towels. You get neck massages. You get everything that you would want to come into a spa to feel beautiful.”
They are an exclusive Aveda Salon and also have their own lash artist.
“It’s all Aveda products. Everything is strictly Aveda. It’s 100 percent organic so it’s good for your hair, your body, everything,” Hankins added.

Hours are Monday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
