BASSETT – No one was injured in an accident involving a Henry County school bus and a Ford Taurus Thurday.
The accident occurred just before 4 PM at the intersection of Bassett High School Road and North River Road.
“One of our buses was in an accident this afternoon leaving Bassett High School. Our school nurse coordinator evaluated the students onboard and determined there were no injuries. Students boarded another bus to proceed on the normal route home,” Monica Hatchett, Henry County Schools’ Director of Communications and Organizational Learning told BTW21.
Bassett Volunteer Fire Department and Bassett Rescue Squad responded.
Virginia State Police also confirmed that there were no injuries including the driver of the Ford.
The crash is under investigation by state police.
