Overturned vehicle, no driver found at wreck in Henry County

HENRY COUNTY, VA – Henry County rescue crews responding to a reported vehicle crash found no sign of a driver.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene of an overturned SUV at 3:15 a.m. on Thursday.

Virginia State Police say a driver crashed his Ford Explorer on Smith Lake Road near EC Upholstery of Martinsville and fled the scene.

The Ridgeway District Volunteer Fire Department and the Henry County Department of Public Safety responded.

State police continues to investigate the crash.
