HENRY COUNTY, VA
Starting Monday, June 3, 2024, a section of Route 695, also known as George Taylor Road, will be shut down for through traffic.
This closure will stretch from approximately 0.94 miles from Route 629 (Moores Mill Road) to about 0.85 miles from Route 631 (Windward Drive) to facilitate repairs on the bridge spanning the South Mayo River.
If weather permits, the road will reopen to traffic by Friday, June 28, 2024.
A detour will be established throughout this period, and directional signage will be installed to assist travelers.
