Search Warrant Execution in Henry County Results in Drug Seizure and Arrests

Henry County, VA

 

On November 14, 2024, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotics search warrant at 50 Foxtree Dr., Apartment 22, leading to the seizure of suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine. The seized substances and related items are consistent with the distribution of illegal narcotics.

During the operation, Trey Michael Severt, 34, and Cheree Nicole Dalton, 34, both residents of the apartment, were present and subsequently arrested.

Charges:

  • Trey Severt:

    • Violation of Virginia Code Section 18.2-248: Possession with intent to distribute Schedule I/II drugs (suspected methamphetamine).

  • Cheree Dalton:

    • Violation of Virginia Code Section 18.2-248: Possession with intent to distribute Schedule I/II drugs (suspected methamphetamine).

    • Misdemeanor Failure to Appear – City of Martinsville.

    • Felony Probation Violation – Franklin County.


Severt is currently being held at the Henry County Adult Detention Center without bond, while Dalton is held at the Martinsville City Jail without bond. Severt, who is also on probation for prior drug-related offenses, faces additional legal consequences.
