REIDSVILLE, NC – Investigators with the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office and the Reidsville Police Department have determined the death investigation at 226 Pierce Lane in Reidsville, North Carolina to be a homicide. The victim is believed to be Jimmie Lee Dillard, 87 years of age, of 226 Pierce Lane in Reidsville, NC. Positive identification of the victim is still pending investigation by the North Carolina Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Jimmie Dillard was reported missing to the Reidsville Police Department on December 19 around 5 PM.
Johnnie Lee Dillard, 61 years of age, of 226 Pierce Lane in Reidsville, NC has been arrested and charged with First Degree Murder. Johnnie Dillard is the son of the victim, Jimmie Dillard. Johnnie Dillard is being held in the Rockingham County Detention Facility with no bond and is scheduled to appear in Wentworth District Court on December 27. This investigation is still ongoing.
