GLADE HILL, VA – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man was killed in a shooting on Saturday night.
Deputies responded to the shots fired call on Greenway Road in Glade Hill at approximately 7:25 p.m.
35-year-old Jon-Matthew Sheffield, of Glade Hill, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sheffield received a fatal gunshot wound during an altercation, according to sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office said this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
