Virginia is ranked number 12, down from number 11 last year.
The likelihood of having a collision with a deer in Virginia is 1 in 99, a decrease of 4.7% since the 2016-2017 study.
Nationally the average is 1 in 167 chance of deer collision.
November is the worst month for crashes. October is the second followed by December.
Average property damage claim runs $4,341, up from $4,179 in 2017.
There were 1.33 million deer claims reported to State Farm nationally from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018.
