
The West Piedmont Health District identified nine new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday evening. In Henry County, seven confirmed cases of the coronavirus were reported; four males and three females with age ranges of 0-4 years, 30s, 40s, 60s and 70s. A Franklin County woman in her 40s tested positive for the virus, bringing the total to 36 cases with four hospitalizations and two deaths.
A man in his 70s was Martinsville’s reported case.
There are now 145 cases in Henry County, with eight hospitalizations and three deaths, and 45 cases in Martinsville including six hospitalizations and one death.
The number of cases in Patrick County remains at 20 with no hospitalizations or deaths.
