Tragedy struck Pittsylvania County on January 23, when two individuals were found dead following a farming equipment accident.
The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that emergency responders were called to the 5400 block of Dry Fork Road at around 4 p.m. after reports of a structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered the bodies of two victims at the scene.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the farming equipment involved made contact with a power line, which led to the fatalities.
