Two injured after car overturns near creek in Boones Mill

BOONES MILL – At 6:45 Wednesday morning, Boones Mill Volunteer Fire Department and Franklin County Public Safety were called out to the scene of a single vehicle crash on Boones Mill Road just outside the town limits. A vehicle travelling toward Boones Mill left the roadway and overturned at the edge of Maggodee Creek. A tree limb pierced the car through the passenger window and across the dashboard of the car. One patient was treated at the scene and a second patient was transported to the hospital. Fortunately, the injuries were not life threatening.
