EDEN, NC – Police in Eden say the suspect of the deadly shooting at The Rabbit Hole Bar and Grill is now in jail.
On Thursday, 22-year-old Aaron Noel Johnson Marriott of Eden turned himself in to the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office.
On October 1, 39-year-old Al Jamar Lindsay was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the business's parking lot, according to police.
Investigators said they learned that a group of people started to fight when Marriott approached Lindsay, who was not involved, and shot him in close range.
Marriott then fled the scene.
He has been charged with one count of murder in the first degree
Marriott is being held under no bond and is scheduled to appear in Rockingham County District Court on Tuesday.

EDEN, NC – A suspect is at-large after a shooting in Eden left a man dead early Sunday morning.
Eden police responded to The Rabbit Hole Bar and Grill located on North Hunley Street shortly after 1:00 a.m. for the shooting.
39-year-old Al Jamar Lindsay was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot, according to police.
Despite life-saving measures Lindsay died at the scene.
Investigators say a group of people were involved in physical altercation when Lindsay, who was not involved in the fight, was approached by a person who fired shots directly at him in close range.
The shooter fled the scene in the ensuing chaos.
This is an ongoing investigation.
