The Virginia State Police are currently investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred on Route 29, near Halifax Road.
The incident was reported at approximately 2:52 p.m.
Preliminary reports indicate that a white SUV traveling on Route 29 lost control and overturned. Authorities have not yet released details about the circumstances leading to the crash as the investigation remains ongoing.
The crash resulted in severe injuries to three juveniles who were occupants of the vehicle. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene to provide aid.
Two of the injured, a 13-year-old and a 15-year-old, were airlifted from the scene to a nearby medical facility due to the life-threatening nature of their injuries.
A 17-year-old was transported to the hospital by ground ambulance, also with life-threatening injuries.
The identities of the juveniles and further details about their conditions have not been disclosed. Police are continuing to investigate the factors contributing to the crash.
