BEDFORD COUNTY, Va
Virginia State Police are investigating a tragic single-vehicle crash that resulted in a fatality. The incident occurred on Tuesday, October 8, at 4:20 p.m. on Junction School Road, approximately half a mile from Goggin Road.
According to reports, a 1999 Toyota Camry was traveling south when it ran off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned, leading to the ejection of the driver.
The driver has been identified as 17-year-old Carson Lee Salmon of Bedford, Va.
Unfortunately, Mr. Salmon was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
