Woman tests positive for COVID-19 pushing total to four in Patrick County



PATRICK COUNTY, VA – The number of COVID-19 cases in Patrick County is now four after a woman tested positive for the virus. Nancy Bell, spokesperson for the Virginia Department of Health West Piedmont District, said the woman in her 30s had known exposure, but no travel history. The patient is isolated at home and her close contacts have been identified, according to Bell.


CONFIRMED CASES IN THE WEST PIEDMONT HEALTH DISTRICT

  • Franklin County: 23 cases which include three hospitalizations

  • Henry County: 20 cases including three hospitalizations and one death

  • Martinsville City: Two cases including one hospitalization
